The point about not "overstating the case" is a good one. There are many examples of overstatement, some quite amazing in the degree of hype. On 10/30/98 (on this board), Shapiro responded to a clinician who had treated a person for Lyme Disease. Medication had been delayed, and the person was totally blind with many severe neurological consequences of the disease. The therapist had used EMDR with "miraculous" results. Vision was restored, etc. Shapiro responded: "Write it up." She further stated: "Don't underestimate the importance of your observation and the dissemination of these findings."
