    What makes you think Dr. Davison is interested in a "war?" He merely corrects the record in a matter-of-fact manner.
    Moreover, if other treatments are no better than placebo, so what? Is your argument advanced by the fact that other treatments are likewise not validated to work better than placebos?

    As to the issue of placebo controls having been dealt with elsewhere on this board, my own extensive writings on the matter were deleted some months ago to make room for other issues. Yet, none are more important than this issue. I predict that my insignificant parody writings on "EMDR with insects" will last longer on this board than my previous substantive contributions on placebos. (Unfortunately, I do not have time now to post them again.)
