Chronic Pain and EMDR

I see a lot of chronic pain patients in my practice as a physiatrist. An amazingly high percentage of females have a history of sexual abuse. Others seem to have begun their chronic pain course following a traumatic event such as a motor vehicle accident. What would be your recommendations as to how you would use EMDR in these situations? It seems that EMDR could be a great tool in these cases. Thanks for your suggestions.
