I do not recognize these snippets taken out of context as ad hominem. I decided to look up ad hominem:

1 : appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect
2 : marked by an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made

I don't think that I appealed to feelings or prejudices nor do I feel as though I have evaded answering anyones contentions in favor of attacks to character.

Further, I never said that "it is impossible for another professional to take a scientific approach to this body of literature and draw conlcusions different from" my own. I happen to think that the conclusions drawn from this body of literature taken from a scientific approach are fairly clear. Naturally I am going to disagree with those who take a different stance. It is that disagreement in the form of a dialogue that has brought me to this forum.
