I have known several people who have developed on-line relationships into in-person relationships. Many chat rooms have "get-together" parties, in real life. I know my words have been misinterpreted many times, but there are people who play games with others. My fears on these relationships going into real life result from the anonymity aspect. This must be surrendered in order to meet someone. Now, names, addressess, phone nos., etc. are given. Also, developing more extensive relationships can lead to large phone and travel bills. One man started using his company charge card to buy phone cards, and on his frequent travels, went one day earlier or stayed longer than necessary to meet with his "friends". This fantasy into reality life created havoc in his reality. He was married, and had now needed to lie on his expense report to gain the funds needed to reimburse the phone cards. He also made phone calls from work. He never told anyone who he was meeting or where. What if he had not returned?
