Hi ..I'm from Vancouver, B.C. Canada...undergrad degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University..and longtime chatroom, MUD, surfer...:) I believe that the "me" complex is a reflection of the way people irl are too...Perhaps certain sites enhance this complex (especially in all text environments). Perhaps this will change as more people obtain web cams etc? I think people take advantage of their seeming "invisibleness" on the net, but hope that it will change in time.
