I'm no expert on the laws about slander, but it will be interesting to see how they apply to discussions in cyberspace. The "disinhibiting" factor that encourages some people to speak (a bit too) freely may indeed have legal consequences in some cases. On the other hand, the tendency to project meaning and intentions into the text-only communications of cyberspace may lead some people to see slander where it doesn't exist.... Anyone here know anything about the laws concerning slander?
