Trick vs. Belief

I believe that "green grading" is a trick if it is merely a nice technique that the teacher has adopted because they liked the sound of it. It has a totally different effect on children when it reflects a teacher's basic belief that children are allowed to make mistakes and are encouraged to focus on the things that they have done correctly.
