No, I am sorry if that is what you thaught I was saying. What I was saying is if you wanted to check out when Adler came up with it look at an Adler source. One problem is that most of his first writings were in German and there is not translation. The book I suggested gives translation from some of his early works. I know Corsini attributes the term to Adler and Adler is most often associated with the term in basic texts. Adler capitalized on the concept and built a large part of his theory on it where Freud did not. Personally I am satisfied with this. You had the question. I gave you a popular reference that is in most libraries. I would rather research something else for my self. I figured you were doing the looking no me. Check the date on your Freud source first. I thought it was 1914 not 1901. It could make a difference. Craig
