dr. stein, could you please clarify the idea of "other-directed thinking" in terms of adler's ideas. it appears that this includes the qualities of pleasantness, thoughtfulness, interest in others. might this concept slip into self-sacrificing behaviors and how does the individual best judge? cordially,
