Maslow and b-cognition

Dr. Stein,

Would you please define your interpretation of Maslow's b-cognition? It appears to be somewhat antithetical in regards to Adlers' emphasis on active human beings.

Furthermore, what is your feeling on zen beliefs which again appear more passive than the healthy lifestyles of which Adler speaks?
