Dr. Stein, What is the Adlerian view of what some people describe as wearing masks in public? Is this social persona really a mask that somehow inhibits more sincere reactions from people? Or, is it a healthy way of interacting with society in general. For instance, I am thinking of someone who always seems to generate energy in social situations yet I wonder if he somehow cannot let his guard down and be more relaxed with people. What's your view on this? Thank you,
Tom
