Development and Adler

Was Adler's theories handeling any aspects of human development. Adler touched on inferiority driving us into our common goal as we progress through development. Yet, to me, this theory and others do not clarify whether Adler truely studied our life processes. Could someone assist in my attempt to understand the connection.
