I'm a brazilian psychologist, working as a researcher on school and community psychology.
I work on a Research Lab, which has been implementing a project of empowerment and prevention of Social and Emotional disorders in an urban village of the state of São Paulo. The focus of the program is small children, but it is extended to adults, including parents, teachers and community leaders. One of the main problems we face in my country, as a whole, and in the communities we are working at, in particular, is the difference on the weathy distribution, which leads to the oppression and exclusion of many. People are destitute of their rights and cannot have access to basic public policies such as decent homes, health, basic education, etc... The results are lack of empowerment, bad conditions of living, and a lot of urban violence...
Unfortunately, Adlerian theory is not very explored in psychology undergraduation and graduation programs in my country. Although, I am really feeling the interest on knowing more about it and would like to know, considering the field of study I described above, where I should start at...
