Jewish Meditation - Merkabolism

I just saw your posting in passing, but it reminded me of Benson's original 1960's article on the Relaxation Response. In that he briefly describes Merkabolism, a Jewish meditation practice. I'm sorry I don't have the full reference to hand - it was in Scientific American.
