Jeffrey Schwartz in his book "Brain Lock: Free Yourself from Obsessive-Compulsive Behavior" describes a CBT program that has a strong mindfulness training component in it. There is some research evidence that the program is helpful. I have tried to teach a few people with severe OCD to sit and meditate, breath counting for 15 minutes, and they rejected the technique as "stupid". These days I start OCD treatment with the protocol in Schwartz's book and patients are more likely to stay with it.
