You are most likely already aware of this resource, but just in case, here's a rather dated, but I believe still relevent book on your subject matter: Yoga and Western Psychology, by Geraldine Coster.
I would love to see your thesis when you're done...I, too, am very interested in the connection between yoga and psychotherapy. Good luck!
