    watch heat waves spiral
    wind fans fire
    sink deep wheel ruts
    into the red earth

    watching radiation rippling
    setting remote thoughts flickering
    and at one point

    "Hey Jack ..... (pause)

    What do you think?

    (long space here)

    "Why ask me?
    (wait for it)

    I only untie knots."
