I am passing along a message received today. I am saddened by this news. Dear Colleagues, Ruth was an AAGT member and presenter, with particular interest in spirituality. Her last article "Self, Science and Buddhism" has recently been published in The British Gestalt Journal, Vol. 9, No.2. Her detailed case study entitled "The Broken Doll: A Survivor's Journey Into Life" was included in the book of case studies A Living Legacy of Fritz and Laura Perls, edited by Bud Feder and Ruth Ronall. Ruth Wolfert was a long-time Member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, where she offered ongoing study groups and a variety of weekend workshops. Ruth contributed to the richness of our Gestalt community. A memorial service is planned. (Ruth's work can be seen on-line in vol.4, no. 3 of Gestalt!, where she also writes concerning the spiritual in Gestalt therapy, from a Bhuddistic perspective - http://www.g-g.org/gej/4-3/spiritual.html and in vol. 3; no.1, where she contributes to an article on women's perspectives in Gestalt therapy - http://www.g-g.org/gej/3-1/women.html)
Phil
I am sad to inform you of the passing of Ruth Wolfert earlier this week.
Sincerely,
Susan Gregory
