Hello, If you are interested, then you should make plans to attend the AAGT conference (November 10-14, 2004); you can find more information about it at the AAGT website (www.aagt.org). Aside from the marathon, at the conference you will be able to attend workshops, plenary gatherings, and community meetings, including a new feature this year referred to as "creativity groups." You will be able to attend another meeting of the Irish Interest Group, with such dignitaries as Seán Gaffney, Brian O'Neill, and Charlie Bowman, and you may even be privileged to wear the sacred shorts of St. Ansel! You will enjoy the venue of St. Pete's Beach, which is astoundingly beautiful, and you will be stimulated and enriched by the experience of associating with other people interested in, working at, thinking about, and developing Gestalt therapy theory and practice around the world. Some time ago there was excitement on the Gstalt-L listserv discussion group (www.g-gej.org/gstalt-l) around the idea of having and participating in a marathon group. Because of that discussion, the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (AAGT) will be offering a pre-conference marathon this November in connection with its seventh international conference for Gestalt therapy. If enough people are interested in attending and participating, we will have two of them. Currently, I am putting together a group of people who will plan and implement these groups. The scope of the marathon, including time frame, purpose, and leadership will be announced soon.
