Dr. Phil :-) Brownell, that is. I'm looking forward to the new upcoming GT text. While I have always been excited by the old primal text - PGH - when I first read it (and tried to practice it) way back in 1951 when I was young, it's also exciting to see how the ideas are evolving in the "here and now." I like the concept of "Therapy of Contact." Of course awareness is important, but awareness of What? It is at the boundry of contact between ourself and the not-ourself (others etc) that we discover the What, the new material which excites us and leads to assimilation and growth. I like also paying attention to Field Theory. The relationship between the part and the whole (the person and the community, etc)is as much rooted in Gestalt Psychology as it is in Gestalt Therapy. I've always thought of these two disciplines as very complementary and both necessary to understand the real world and how to get along in it. Let us know as soon as possible the title of the new book.
