Your post gave me lots of stuff to consider, and I've not quite finished digesting. Also, your reply provided me with new reading. Thanks a lot!
My perspective may be difficult, perhaps even impossible, but all the same: Thatīs how I experience therapy as a client. Not as a mere function of the therapists doing (that's stupid), and not as a process of selfhealing in which the therapist is simply "there" and present. A process of selfhealing in contact, and there has to be certain types of input from the therapist. Those input may be "confrontations", but are experienced as insights, when filtered through my own perspecive and accepted/rejected.
Anyway, I will read on, and perhaps be back on this board with further questions later.
