I've seen quite a few prints on Hindu and Bhuddist beliefs and their relevance to Gestalt therapy. Has anybody made the connection between Gestalt Psychology and therapeutic techniques and the Hindi belief of the seven chakras and the way in which energy/anxiety is stored within the body and how we visualize those blockages. I'm not into mysticism (ie. crystals and beads and "auras"). However, I have seen emotional and cognitive effects when applying color and emotion to parts in the body in which anger or fear is stored in the body, helping the client become fully aware of those perceptions, and then through guided imagery having them change the associated colors to their compliment (Ie. Red to Blue or orange to green, etc.) thus, sapping the negative energy from that part of their body and allowing emotions to move further. Any responses, experiences, or self-disclosures?
