Even without knowing much on the subject of gestalt, I have observed its importance to the understanding of a person's surrounding. There are many ways which people absorb their environments, and each individual variance interests me -- and pushes me along in my architectural career.
Obviously, the fields of psychology and architecture overlap; the understanding of how a person thinks and acts is related to his/her surroundings.
I would like to hear some opinions posed by professionals, and other people interested in the field so that I can better understand the role of gestalt in the experience of architecture.
