Presentation Announcements

Dr. Shapiro will present an invited keynote address at the Congress of the European Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Therapies on 10 September 1998 in Cork, Ireland. The theme of the Congress is: "Effective Therapies for the 21st Century." The Association is also offering a pre-congress EMDR training which will be conducted by Roger Solomon (6-8 September 1998). Dr. Shapiro will present an invited weeklong symposium on EMDR for a conference on "The Psychotherapy of Trauma" organized by the Lindauer Psychotherapiewochen. The symposium will take place 18 April through 23 April 1999 in Germany on Lindau Island/Lake Constance and will include presentations by Dr. Gottfried Fischer and Dr. Arne Hofmann of the University of Cologne highlighting the compatibility of EMDR with psychodynamic therapy.
