Gestalt counselling in schools?

I am a student on the Diploma in Counselling course at Fareham College, UK, and have been offered a position as a counsellor in a Catholic primary school. Has anyone any suggestions as to methods, techniques and exercises to use? I am reading 'Counselling Children' by Kathryn & David Geldard containing a chapter by Violet Oaklander. Has anyone got any other advice for me please?
