I love the title! It will sell well. I can't wait to hear how the analysis of Freud evolves! All Freudian scholars join in and for the rest of us maybe if we get enough of the data we can help analyze Freud from a Control Mastery perspective. As Jim points out, I too was attracted to this theory because of its positive view of human relationships. It is based on Freud's later theories which I agree weren't well incorporated into the theory of technique. Theories change and the environment is ripe for a conceptual shift. We live in exciting times.

I wish I was here during the week you will be in town Vic. We enjoy meeting any of you who wonder through the S.F. area. Joe and I will still be back east for the class at the Cape. Everyone is invited to attend! The research group has a home base in the Psychoanalytic Institute in S.F. We have many meeting each week to discuss both the research and clinical ideas. Visitors are welcome to stop by and join in.

On the Rem research project- I recently read an article you might have already read by Solms-Neurological Organization of Dreaming: Implications for Psychoanalysis(Psychoanalytic Quarterly, LXIV,1995). This is not my field at all but it seems to be yours, Vic. He claims to provide evidence that confirms Freud's classical theory of dreams. I didn't have the background to read it critically but you might have.
