criticisms of gestalt therapy

As a post-graduate student trying to comprehend Gestalt therapy or is Gestalt theory (?) I am overwhelmed by the subtle discriminations made by researchers and authors. Indeed, my mission is to understand some basic criticisms- I hope this will lead me to addressing such criticisms. Does anyone have any reference material/ citations that criticise gestalt therapy in a simple/elementary fashion???- I need to look at parts of the sum before I can come close to understanding the whole.
