Dear Colleagues,
Have you experienced organizational niceness as harmony or the impression of harmony? Have you worked as a change agent with an organization where this harmony was an important value? Did the niceness help or hinder your efforts as a change agent? And are you willing to help create an understanding of this niceness? For my dissertation research, I am collecting stories about change agents and their experiences. I would like to hear about yours. The process for collecting these stories is to complete an on-line survey form.
I would like to hear from you if you have experienced niceness in an organizational environment where you have done change work as an internal or external consultant or change agent. If you have also worked in at least one other organization besides the one you would describe, please tell me your story.
The benefits of participating in this research include an opportunity to explore your own experience with organizational niceness, as well as to help shape a concept that will help our profession understand organizations better. You will also have an opportunity to view a summary of the research.
The survey is confidential and no persons or organizations will be identified in the analysis and reporting. When you first access the survey site, you will be asked to review and approve an informed consent form before accessing the survey questions. After you complete the informed consent, a definition of organizational niceness will be presented to assist you in answering the survey questions.
If you are willing to help with this research, please access the survey website at: http://www.e-z.net/~nicesurv
