Anyway, what is love?

You ask why love is different for everybody.  Well, what exactly do you mean by love?  Is it likes, feelings or emotions, sex, friendship,a commitment to put another's needs before one's own or a dependency?  Love means different things to different people.  You ask why some get by with hardly any relationships while others need a significant other. Are relationships and love synonymous? Is love considered one of the basic needs of mankind? Can links be found between the type of upbringing one had,including the relationships in his life, and his current relationships or lack of with others?  There are so many variables to consider.
