Dear Gentlemen, (and women if any present)
First I had already read and meditated on your interesting materials in your book outline Mystic. Thank you and I would like to share some materials from The Marriage of Souls which I am just learning has great implications for online relationships. It seems to me that you are making a mistake by dividing reality into online and off as if different rules apply in human consciousness for each world. Granted there are interesting differences but when you said that in the beginning you blubbered and now I guess don't, you could say the same for "real" world interactions. And to communicate a little more acurately, most of my powerful experiences and emotions have come not from reading stories about others but from direct communications to me from others or with some of my communications with others. When beings touch there is always some melting of the heart and some divine tears that refect that change of space, well not always that is rediculous to say but I hope you know what I mean. My specialty is communication and the relationships between beings and now I am adding online communication and relationship into this framework and see exciting and even incredible opportunities to go where no man has gone before. I am also trained in conflict resolution and am quite a snake handler in difficult situations, meaning the dealing with egos in tight hot spots. Though I see how people can hide their egos for a little while online it is easy for me to penetrate through defenses simple because I really listen to what people have to say and what they are not saying. I am very interested in communicating with you people here who have been studying online relationships and I think I can bring something new into descussions. I am looking for peers with which to explore the ultimate potentials that this amplified communication medium represents. I am also wanting to do a support group experiment but would like to do it with other people who are interested professionally in doing the same. Yes we can do it with those who need a lot of help but I would like to see those who like to help get helped or tested in the fires of peer insights. It seems that one of the diseases of the helping profession is that we begin to think that we are beyond that need and are in such a good position to help the needy forgeting something important on the way. The way of the guru is to surround themselves with followers. Rare are the stories of one guru relating as equal to another. Christopher Hills did an international yoga conference in India in the early seventies and he reported the most rediculous ego antics even to the point that the gurus would fight over who would sit on the lowest pillow to prove he was the most humble. I would love to get into a real group of strong egos who all think they are the greatest but can back that up with some real experience and knowledge and wisdom about relationships both on and off line.
I think us professionals can learn alot about the potential of this medium we are studying by experimenting with ourselves and that means going beyond the discussion level into real group dynamic. Anybody game?
