Here is a short and partial list of texts. I suspect that the Alcock book might most interesting to you. The other texts are also good. Each has a different slant.
You can also run to the various animal behavior sites on the net to get other references.
Personally, I would start with Tinbergen's STUDY OF INSTINCT and Lorenz's KING SOLOMON'S RING for a gentle introduction to the field. Hinde wrote a classic, but difficult, text in 1970. Overall, the Alcock book is easy to read, and touches upon topics that I think you will find interesting.
