Hello to all visitors of this site.
I am currently researching the effects of the necessity of using brief therapy in primary care practices, especially GP surgeries. My focus will be on the pressure of these practices on therapists/ counsellors to meet the demand of seeing clients in 4-6 sessions as a result of low budgets etc. Although I believe that brief therapy is indeed a positive approach; I am concerned about the issue of therapeutic integrity being compromised in order to meet targets.
I would welcome your comments, and your time, as I also need volunteers to assist me via interviews and/ or filling in questionnaires about the stresses on therapists and trainees faced with HAVING to fulfill the above criteria.
Many thanks, and best wishes with this forum.
