I just wanted to agree with the point about anonimity. I am constantly surprised by the depth of information people are willing to give about themselves within a few email/live chat situations.... Sexual abuse, physical abuse both current and past, for example. I have no doubt that I know people in real life that have also suffererd these things and never made reference to it. It seems to me this is where online therapy could be useful. (I am just on my way to get a copy of "Insider's Guide to Mental Health Online" by someone called Grohol, to see if this might be the case :).
