As far as I am concerned (and I can only guess what Dr. Erickson might say)...Hypnotherapy, and all therapy, is for helping people and not for finding the "truth." As a result, and considering the moldablity of memory, it is unlikely that an Ericksonian therapist would use hynosis to, presumably, uncover "true" memories.
