Reply to Jim Johnston's "Query regarding REM….". Yesterday I was full of ideas to type. I typed but lost the stuff due to disconnection. Today also I typed once, but again lost it for the same reason. So, now I am typing it in Word 97 and will highlight and paste into internet such that, if I get disconnected, I can re-import the stored stuff. So, Jim, here I go. Your queries are really appropriate. Thanks. I hope your queries will be answered by the following references.
1) Singh, R (Ratan Singh), Chew, K.S., & Tanggong, F. Identification of waking state REM as mediator in volitional regulation of autonomic function. Int. J. Psychopath. Psychopharmacol. Psychother. 1996, 1(1). URL: http://www. Psychom.net.ijppp.v1.n1.html
Note: This journal (above referenced) is wholly an electronic journal, never comes on paper, but is listed in the library of congress. If you cannot locate the web site, then use search engine such as Yahoo and type in its search area: Psychom.net Once there, further search for my name by Singh or for the title.
2) Singh, R. Possible neuropsychological mechanism underneath the environmental regulation of autonomic function. New Zealand Psychological Society Bulletin, 1994, 81, 22-24.
3) Singh, R. Neuro-psychophysiology of volitional control of autonomic body functions. Indian Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1987, 14, 32-39.
Note: This journal is the official journal of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists which by itself is a registered body in India. The EEG data are in there. Let me know if you cannot locate it but still want the paper from it.
4) Singh, R. Cited in Brain-Mind Bulletin, 1986, May 26, p3. Interface Press, 4717 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles. Note: This reference quotes me as a brief new item based on the paper on the subject I presented in the Annual Conference of Indian Assoc. of Clinical Psychologists, 1986, Bombay.
Anybody is welcome to read and discuss. (I hope this time I can send the above matter successfully. But no more for today. Having sent this, I will call it a day. It is deep in night and I must go to bed. I will pick up other queries tomorrow or the day after. Thanks for your patience. Ratan.
