    Kepner's discussion of body process
    by Timothy C. McNamara, 3/4/97

Joe Wysong noted that "Gestalt therapy does not, as Brownell suggests, pay attention to what manifests itself through the body. Rather, it recognizes that there is no mind/body but only the whole. We pay attention to what is, not what is body vs. mind." From my reading of Kepner's book (which coincidentally I am in the middle of), that is exactly Kepner's point. I think that Wysong's dismissal of Kepner's book is perhaps a bit premature in this regard; on the other hand, Kepner's book really offered little novelty in either concept or practice.
