Welcome to the Behavior OnLine's Technology Clinic. In this forum we will try to handle a wide range of issues surrounding the use of technology in mental health. This is very general and can include such topics as searching the World Wide Web, hardware upgrades and purchases, software choices, office management programs, and, in fact, anything to do with technology, period. I will state right off the bat that I am not a techno-nerd. I have a degree in Information Processing (research Psychology) and am a professor teaching the standard psychology courses as well as courses in technology. I have just published a book with John Wiley and Sons called The Mental Health Technology Bible where I needed to evaluate and review software and hardware for our profession. The book includes lots of information on the World Wide Web as that appears to be a hot topic among wired psychologists. I also write a column for The National Psychologist where I review issues, hardware and software in a column for the bi-monthly newspaper.
