Can the traditional psychodynamic therapist accept the possibility that change can be textured, profound, permanent -- and rapid? What evidence is needed to accept this possibility? I have heard many psychodynamic therapists affirm that EMDR allows them to "use what they know." The goal is integration without losing the riches and wisdom available in each of the separate orientations. I would like to hear what prevents other psychodynamic therapists from exploring EMDR.
