Given Milton's proclivity to bridge to his patients through stories with embedded suggestion and meaning, this forum may provide an unique opprtunity to relate stories, in a condensed sort of way. Here's mine... My two children each learned to ride two-wheelers on Chriestmas morning, several years apart. With my daughter, I held the back of her seat as she learned to ride on the narrow sidewalk in front of our apartment. After about an hour, I was confident that she had the skills to avoid the lampposts and keep herself from wobbling out into traffic. Two years later, I took my son on his new bike out to the local schoolyard where the grounds were wide and the ground soft with short grass. He wobbled far one way and then far the other way, but he learned to ride confidently all on his own...and I didn't miss the exercise!
May we all provide our clients with a broad, flat, soft field.
