My son is 17 and has been diagnosed with panic disorder and anxiety. He has been seeing a therapist for several months with some success. However, we feel like it is time to explore other avenues of treatment. Medication is not an option since he is very sensitive to all chemicals. This child will not even take vitamins. Biofeedback and/or hypnosis have been suggested. I know nothing about either approach. Today a local professional suggested EMDA. Since I have never heard of this therapy before today, I am hoping someone may have used EMDA in the treatment of panic attacks and can give me some helpful and hopeful insight into its use. My son is extremely intelligent and is an Honors student. However, his grades are slipping and he is becoming frustrated. He wants desperately to feel better. Please, if anyone can offer any positive input here, I would greatly appreciate it.
