There is the Zen-Heidegger-Laura/Fritz-Gestalt connection. Heidegger, as I suppose most students in this field are aware, felt that Zen, as as he found it in a book by D.T.Suzuki, was saying much the same thing that he was trying to say in his later work. And, I've heard that Laura was a student of, or had some sort of contact with Heidegger; and so it shouldn't be surprising to find a strong Zen/Heidegger influence in Gestalt. (topics I tried to write about in a dissertation as a philosophy student many years ago before waking up to the absurdity of what I was doing.)
