As Director of Substance Abuse Services with the Mental Health Consortium of Kansas, I am primarily interested in (1) the full utilization of CMHCs in the service of drug users; and (2) the employment of Gestalt theory to that service.

The Consortium is owned and directed by the Community Health Centers of Kanasas. Although we have many contracted services, our prinicple concern is the development of the centers.

I have two emergent issues in these discussions. First of all, how can the community centers serve their communities by working with drug users; and, second, how can Gestalt theory and practice be applied to this service.

I welcome comment on these and related issues. For my background in this discussion, see last year's issue of The Gestalt Journal -- or request information from me on this line.
