I am very intrigued with Adler's Theories as they correspond closely with some of my own theories concerning the darker side of human nature, ie.criminal behavior. Until reading your interview, I had not realized that Adler's theories tied so closely with the theories of a reknown work used in several criminal rehabilitation programs and even some substance abuse program around the country. By this I am refering to Samual Yochelson's book "The Criminal Personality"(A Profile for Change). I have been following Yochelson and Samenow's work and a treatment program that applies their work for about three years. How do you see the same theories Adler presented as applicable to treating a criminal? I see that both aim for a behavioristic change in the person, but unless I am mistaken, Adler is Humanistic and Yochelson is Behavioristic in theory. Am I wrong, or are they both actually applying both schools of theories to their treatment practices?

Thanks, I hope to see more of your coversations on here. I find them very thought provoking and informative.
