We seem to be an eclectic mix here, which is precisely one reason I find Jim's efforts so refreshing and important. We are social creatures with deep and poorly understood biological roots. One of our biggest challenges, not just as investigators but also as creatures in the stream, is to bring these worlds of social and biological life together. Not a single one of us "knows" how to do this. So we talk, argue and speculate. I hope the trend goes on. Somewhere, someone will say something that will trigger a thought in someone else. And those in clinical fields will find a glimmer of hope for those whom they offer help.
I personally don't think there is any ("serious") topic that is off limits. I also praise humor and humility (and am proud of that!!). So, thanks, Jim and others.
No need to respond to this note. Just "for the record"
