Yes, Tatiana, there are some unusual - and in some ways, annoying - features of FreeChat. But let's try to adapt to it for the BOL meeting. We're still in the beta-testing phase of chat at BOL, and may find different software later on.... For the meeting, let's think about how the pros and cons of particular software shape the psychological dynamics of a chat experience. For example, FreeChat places dots next to your name when you whisper to someone. You can't see the dots, but other users can. THAT, I think, is a very interesting feature that dramatically changes the social dynamics of the room (in many chat programs, you don't know when other people are whispering)
