    MysticWarrior types:
Surely a choice of name reveals much of someones self-image, afterall, they chose it. I delight in seeing the plethora of 'handles' chosen and interpreting the possibilites of their various meanings. Some are fairly obvious, such as "loser" or "1-hot-babe"; but the ones i find most befuddling are what i refer to as the "digit-dudes"; ones with handles such as IAW335278-9376-111837. Inevitably..these are always "male". Curious, yes? I also wonder how in the hell they ever get email? It is also interesting to note what various names evoke within ourselves. This cyberspace is such a fertile playground for the imagination, don't ya just love it? :-)

If the dudes with the digits are from AOL, then they got 'em because they picked a name that was already in use. In such a case, AOL's supercomputer immediately selects an aesthetically pleasing string of digits. These digits are so pleasing that newbies are simply swept away by their beauty, and don't even bother to, for instance, try another name.

Either that, or the digits are like cyber-acne.

I do know several females with that kind of digit-outbreak, too.
