    > An interesting choice of words, Wanda! It might be true that some under-expressive people are a bit concerned about making errors or "making a mess" if they say things without forethought. There might be some compulsive tendencies (I'll let the Freudians apply their more specific terms!). As a compulsive person from way back, I know I like to "get it right" - which is why I like text talk.

I suppose my choice of "expulsion" was more in context of cyberwriting--email, ng postings. Something about clicking 'send' feels like "ejecting" something out to the world. Those kinds of missives tend to be opinions and/or attempts at persuasion, and evoke a "hurling" image to me.

In my occupation, I write to inform and instruct how to do things. I don't think of "expulsion" when I ftp or submit text for that kind of writing. Guess you caught me visualizing in my more emotionally active persona. :-)
