Recipients of massage and bodywork usually get around to asking some very interesting questions about pain; ie: delayed pain, referred pain, how medications seem to effect that, etc. I've also looked into how and why different people store pain (in the body) in different ways, via different circumstances, as well as for different lengths of time, and the various psychological and metaphysical considerations around all the above. (The relation here to "body memory" may be more obvious now ?). Eventually I rounded up a number of notes I'd been writing in this regard. Included is a list of factors (as best I can ascertain them) effecting the subjective reality of pain, which section is presented primarily in regard to the physical level, but a creative mind can go pretty far with it.
