Yes, I have honed my observational abilities. As I indicated in Experiencing Erickson, Erickson gave me assignments to help me. He would suggest that I go to a shopping mall and observe people, predicting which person would leave a group first, which would speak next. He would quiz me, "If you are walking down a street and a man is walking toward you and he is in plain clothes, how might you know that he is a policeman?"

From these tasks I developed under-used abilities. Also, I learned an orientation to helping people change.

Good luck Ben, and thanks for your interest...

    Jeff Zeig
